Xmas Battle 2022/3

Battle 1: Necrons (Silent King) vs GSC Forces: Necrons (Nihilak) Silent King, Lokhust Heavy Destroyers, Technomancer, Immortals, FlayedOnes, Triarch Praetorians GSC (Twisted Helix) Lots of bodies - neophytes, acolytes, big things with pick axes and genestealers Overview of the battle: Necrons went first, GSC were just blips on the board. Deepstruck 2 small units of Flayed Ones, along with the Immortals in the deployment zone secured an early secondary, and also secure 3 objectives Silent King spent game moving slowly towards the GSC deployment zone, supported by Triarch Praetorians Early advantage to Necrons was slowly whittled down as GSC melee troops burst from underground and took out the Necrons objective holders Main battle was between Silent King and 2 neophyte units - Silent King was whittling down bodies while remaining largely untouched, but the GSC kept using their banners to bring more troops to the battle. Lessons learned: Nihilak dynasty are very handy for army...

Imperial Fists of the 4th and 1st Chapters. Requisitioned by Lord Inquisitor Coteaz to support ongoing operations against the forces of Chaos.

2016 - Imperial Fists

So my first painting session of 2016 has been pretty intensive. Fuelled by 3 episodes of Vikings on Amazon - I managed to get all the Imperial Fists *almost* complete.. (barring a Chaplain on a bike, and a Dark Vengeance converted Librarian) - hopefully get them done (along with 10 grey knights) in a week or two.. Happy with the decision to make the effort to rebase them all on 32 mm bases (pain in the arse as I'd bought custom base and already completed most of them - but they definately look better on the larger bases) Been a real push - they all need some finishing touches - force swords, etc - but overall pretty happy with them given the rush to get them done. So that's the Imperial forces *virtually* all done now - 3 armies - Grey Knights, Astra Miltarum and now Imperial Fists... Just the boxes of unassembled Chaos to tackle next...
